Avengers: Endgame is indeed one of the most anticipated movies in 2019 with opening day smashing Philippines’ box office records with P205,676,345 in 970 screens, making it the biggest opening of a Marvel film in the country to date.

The film broke the opening record of last year’s Avengers movie “Infinity War” with P141.6 million.

A group of cinemas in the Philippines opened their doors to legion of Marvel fans with screenings starting as early as 6:01 am on its opening day.

Avengers: Endgame is the final installment of a wildly ambitious 22-film arc featuring the superheroes of the Marvel universe, many of them the creations of late comic book legend Stan Lee.
